Policies

  • I understand that tuition is due by the 10th of every month. Auto-pay will be ran on the 7th of every month – If your card on file is declined for insufficient funds, the card has expired, or any other reason, you will be notified by email of the decline and will be given until the 10th of that month to make the full payment without the late fee. After the 10th, if your account has not been paid, you will be charged a $20 late fee. If you are having a difficult time financially, please speak with Andrea and she will be glad to work something out.
  • I understand that if I choose not to keep a card on file for auto-pay, then I must pay with cash, check or debit card in the office by the 10th. ALL accounts not paid by the 10th, for whatever reason, will result in a $20 non-negotiable late fee that will be automatically added to your account. Accounts that are 3 months delinquent will be suspended and dancers will not be allowed to attend class until account is brought current. Any checks that are returned will result in a $25 returned check fee, added to your account.
  • I understand all tuition, registration fees, recital fees, costume fees, competition fees, travel fees, convention fees, private lesson fees, and clothing fees are non-refundable.
  • I understand that I will need to pay a yearly registration fee of $25 per student or $40 per family of two or more students.
  • I understand that, if my student performs in the Year End recital, I will be required to pay a $25 recital fee per FAMILY, not per student.
  • I understand my account needs to be current in order to receive costumes, pictures, or to participate in and and all studio activities and performances.
  • I understand the studio calendar typically follows the Alpine School District calendar for holidays and closures. On occasion though, it may vary. I will check the studio calendar either online or in the office for official dates of closures.
  • I understand tuition is based on a 4-week per month average. Additional tuition will not be added to months that have 5 weeks, and tuition is not discounted for month with holiday closures.
  • I understand that if the studio closes due to weather or a teacher emergency, a make up class will be scheduled and will not be charged for the make up class.
  • I understand that if I need to drop a class, it must be done by the 25th of the current month. Any class not dropped by the 25th will accrue regular monthly tuition fees. If a class is dropped after the 25th of the month, it will take effect the following month and parent will be responsible for tuition fees and other fees due in that month.
  • I understand that in order to drop a class it must be done in writing, either via email or received at the front desk. The request then must be signed by Andrea that it has been received, and the request returned to the parent.
  • I understand that proper dance wear and/or footwear is necessary in all classes. Some classes require specific clothing, tights and footwear.
  • I understand that if my student is not in proper class attire, he or she may be asked to watch class. If it is a reoccurring event, an email will be sent reminding parents of the dress code and a plan to adhere to the dress code will be Established. Please see the dress codes below for specific clothing, footwear, and tights that may be required for classes.
  • I understand that a proper dance education requires ‘hands-on’ teaching techniques in addition to verbal instruction. Instructors will regularly correct my student by touching and re-positioning their arms, hands, legs, feet, hips, back, neck and head to the correct position. Instructors will also verbally correct my student during class.
  • I understand that knowledge of the items covered in class are crucial to the continued development of my student. At-home practice is necessary to aid in that development.
  • I understand that in order for my child to continue to advance to higher level classes, additional training may be necessary which may include: extra classes, solo/duet/trio opportunities, private lessons, etc., which are not covered under my current tuition and may result in additional fees.
  • I understand that, as a parent, a positive attitude and constant support is necessary in order for my child to continue having the privilege of participating at The Edge Dance Studio. If I choose to have a negative attitude or cause situations that compromise the positive learning atmosphere that the Director and Instructors try so hard to reach, my student and I will be asked to leave the studio, without refund.
  • I understand that if my child is in a class that performs at the Year End Showcase and/or competitions, he/she is expected to be to all events.
  • I understand that if my student drops out within 30 days of a competition and/or the recital, a $100 routine re-staging fee will be charged to my account for each routine he/she is in. (Not to exceed $500)
  • I understand that if my student is a member of the All Stars Show Team, I will adhere to not only the policies stated above, but also those in our Team Contract.
  • I understand I will not hold The Edge Dance Studio, Andrea and James Olsen, instructors, office staff, other students and their parents, leasers, or associates relating to or sponsoring this studio for any injuries relating to items taught during class time, or for injuries sustained by activities done before or after class time, or at any performance or competition, or travel to or from any activities mentioned above, and others not mentioned. Any medical bills will be taken care of by the parent(s) or guardian(s).
